I’m Alana Pritchard, a Physiotherapist from the UK with 12 years of clinical experience.

Over the years, I’ve seen lots of people  using an inappropriate or unsafe mobility aid. Usually  because they were given it by a well meaning friend or neighbour, or didn’t know what to choose for themselves.

*I understand how difficult it is to choose the right walking aid! I’ve spent the last 6 weeks researching all the different walkers and rollator walkers available, and it is a minefield!*

Every walking frame has a different combination of handle height, weight limit, width, seat or no seat…etc!

Plus, some walkers are only suitable if you are fully weight bearing.

No wonder people give up or end up getting the wrong  thing and having to return it!

This is why I have created this quiz – to try and make it easier for you to choose a walker/rollator that is safe, fit for purpose and suits you properly.

Having said that, there is no substitute for professional advice, and I recommend you see a Physiotherapist/Physical Therapist for a mobility assessment before purchasing a walking aid.
